Anyone who served in the Bermuda Police through the 1950's and 1960's will have fond memories of "Chief " Trott who was considered by all who knew him to be a truly outstanding detective and a brilliant police officer who was also a first class gentleman.  We were just about to post a tribute to "Chief" Trott in our HALL OF FAME  and will do so in the next few days.  It is often said that behind every great man there is a great woman.  This was certainly the case with Mrs Trott who was always a wonderful support to her husband, especially  when he was the Detective Chief Inspector in charge of Central CID and would often be called out to lead the investigation of serious crimes at any hour of the day or night.
