Raimondo "Rai" Harrison
Further to our report that our good friend Rai Harrison died earlier this month, we have received this update from Steve Taylor about funeral arrangements for Rai.
The Funeral Service will be held at St Dominic's Catholic Church, Margaret Street, Stone, in Staffordshire ST15 8EN at 11.00am on Wednesday 11th November 2026, followed by a Crematorium Service at Stafford Crematorium,Tixall Road, Stafford (about 7 miles away from the church).
The Wake will commence from 1.15pm at Stonehouse Hotel, Stafford Road, Stone ST15 8AJ. If anyone needs to stay overnight you can call the Hotel on 01785 815531 and indicate that you are coming for Rai Harrison's Funeral and you will receive a Special Rate.
There will apparently be no streaming of The Service.
Could anyone planning to attend the Wake please let Steve know because the family need to have an idea of numbers for the Caterers.
Iain Morrison also confirmed the above details and noted that the Stonehouse Hotel is a beautiful facility with a lovely buffet. Iain is hoping it will be a fitting occasion for Rai's former colleagues, friends and his family to remember him.
