In an article published today (5th April 2020) by Bernews which you can read in full at http://bernews.com/2020/04/health-ministry-advises-use-of-face-coverings/ the Bermuda Ministry of Health “advises the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others.”
“Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as an additional, voluntary health measure,” the Ministry said in recently released guidance notes.
“Cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the cloth face covering without assistance.”
Editors note - It seems there is some divided opinion on the wearing of face coverings although there appears to be a shift in opinion, more as a means of the wearer reducing the risk of infecting another person by sneezing, coughing etc. than for protecting oneself. Perhaps you can comment below on whether you are being advised to wear face coverings where you are. Personally I think it's good idea so long as you use them wisely and don't adopt the attitude that by wearing a face mask you are completely safe.
