We followed our football team photo with a photo of a Bunch of Bermuda Bruisers! We could see that several of them were a little too long in the tooth to be competing in a sport but we wanted to know if you could tell us which sport they they travelling abroad to compete in, who were the athletes, who were the officials, where were they headed. and what year was it?

Editors note - We've received an excellent response from Davie Kerr regarding the above boxing photo which should be appearing at the bottom of this article under the Comments column but it's presently not workinmg so here are Davie's comments:-
"I'd assume that this would be the boxing team making one of their visits Stateside to either Denver or Boston; I'd guess late '70s before Nobby Clarke retired as commissioner, and there are certainly at least half dozen people there who I know were not active boxers!

Front from L:- Jeff Baker, Ken Lewis, Cyril Plant, Gerry Lyons, Gerry Benson, Reese Bartley, Billy Henry, Terry Lee. 1 not-sure and 2 don't-knows, although I feel I should!"
This is an excellent start for us from Davie. And yes, it was a Boxing Team visit Stateside - to Boston. The year is a little later than Davie estimated. It is NOT Nick Jamieson next to Dave Shakeshaft; Davie has 2 question marks so lets see who else can ID those two, and he has one mistaken identity. It's not Reese Bartley between Garry Benson and Billy Henry. So, we need to confirm the date, and we have 4 guys not yet named.

Bob Kinnon has emailed us to confirm that the guy standing immediately next to "Nobby" Clarke is Phil Holder (on the right when you look at the photo). If you check our ExPo Facebook page I believe we have now been able to confirm all of those who attended this tour.
